Samtskhe-Javakheti is one of the most beautiful regions of Georgia. During this excursion you will visit Dashbashi Canyon, Rabati Castle, Khertvisi Fortress, Green Monastery, Vardzia and Borjomi. You can also bathe in hot mineral water in Vardzija, have a barbecue, and we can also organize overnight stays in tents. A short weekend trip to Georgia will pleasantly diversify the routine. You will visit Dashbashi Canyon, which is one of the most impressive natural monuments of Georgia, green and beautiful all year round. It is located in the Tsalka region of Georgia, at the gorge of the Khrami River. Dashbashi Canyon is 110 km from Tbilisi and is 1100-1500 meters above sea level. The length of the canyon is 8 kilometers, the climate is moderately humid and the annual temperature range is quite high. We will walk for about 40-45 minutes and admire the breathtaking views of the Dashbashi Canyon and its surroundings. The 8 km long and several hundred meters high canyon impresses with its natural beauty and unique ecosystem. Beautiful waterfalls and underground waters, caves, majestic rocks – all this opened before your eyes at Dashbashi. Dashbashi Canyon stands out for its natural diversity. There are numerous waterfalls, natural and man-made caves on the slopes of the canyon. On the way we will also see Algeti Reservoir, Dashbashi St. George Monastery and Berta Monastery (where we will see the magical trout).
After visiting Vardzia, we will return to Tbilisi. On the way we will visit one of the oldest fortresses in Georgia.
