A one-day excursion to Dashbashi Canyon is a great way to complement a self-guided trip to Sakartvela. The tour is suitable for both individual travelers and groups. Feel free to add a tour to your travel plans and spend a day exploring this special region. Dashbashi Canyon will captivate with its uniqueness – it is a 240-meter long pedestrian bridge, already nicknamed the diamond bridge, because in its center, at the highest point, there is a diamond-shaped glass structure with a restaurant claiming the Guinness World Record.
Dashbashi Canyon is one of the most impressive natural monuments in Sakartvele, green and beautiful all year round. Dashbashi Canyon is located 110 km from Tbilisi and 1100-1500 meters above sea level. The length of the canyon is 8 kilometers, the climate is moderately humid and the annual temperature range is quite high.
We will hike for about 40-45 minutes and enjoy breathtaking views of the Dashbashi Canyon and its surroundings. The 8 km long and several hundred meters high canyon impresses with its natural beauty and unique ecosystem. Beautiful waterfalls and underground waters, caves, majestic rocks – all this will open before your eyes in Dashbashi. The most impressive sight of the canyon is the “weeping wall”, a cascade of small waterfalls along the cliffs.
Ecosystems around the canyon create a micro-landscape with its hot waterfalls and fauna. Dashbashi Canyon stands out for its natural diversity. There are numerous waterfalls, natural and man-made caves on the slopes of the canyon. On the way we will also see Algeti Reservoir, Dashbashi St. George Monastery and Berta Monastery (where we will see magical trout).
